Villa Vardina — A Mountain Haven with Far-Reaching Sea Views and the Soul of Crete
Perched in the serene mountain village of Kastellos, Villa Vardina invites guests into a world where tranquillity rises with the hills and the sea appears in the distance like a shimmering promise. Though located within the Chania region, the villa rests 52 km from Chania Town, offering an escape touched by nature, elevation, and the quiet rhythm of the Cretan countryside.
With five spacious bedrooms and six elegant bathrooms, the villa blends comfort with a sense of openness, while air-conditioning and a private entrance ensure privacy and ease. The elevated position gifts guests with sweeping, high-set views—mountains embracing the horizon and the distant sea glimmering below.
Leisure unfolds effortlessly here. A seasonal outdoor swimming pool echoes the color of the Cretan sky, while the wide sun terrace invites slow, sunlit moments. Spa facilities, a hot tub, fitness room, and a PlayStation 5 create a sanctuary for relaxation, wellness, and joyful evenings. Complimentary WiFi flows throughout, allowing guests to stay connected—or blissfully disconnected.
Ideally situated for exploring western Crete’s treasures, Villa Vardina lies close to Georgioupolis, the enchanting Lake Kournas, and the refreshing springs of Argyroupolis. The vibrant town of Rethymno, with its Venetian harbor and lively culture, is just 27 km away, making day trips effortless and inspiring.
Surrounded by cycling routes, natural beauty, and the serene stillness of the mountains, Villa Vardina is more than a place to stay—it is an invitation to breathe deeper, explore wider, and experience Crete in its most authentic and elevated form.
